New Bus Trackiing App Coming Soon

Nye County School District Announces Upgrade to Student Bus Tracking System

The Nye County School District (NCSD) Transportation Department is pleased to announce an upcoming enhancement to its student bus tracking system. The new platform will replace the "Here Comes the Bus" app with a more advanced parent communication app called "StopFinder.”

"StopFinder" will provide parents and guardians with real-time information about their child's bus route, including estimated arrival times and notifications of any delays. NCSD will be available in the app a few weeks after school begins.

"This upgrade reflects our commitment to providing families with the most convenient and reliable tools for tracking their child's transportation," said Michael Hush, NCSD Transportation Director. "We look forward to sharing more details about 'StopFinder' with our community soon."

NCSD will send out a separate notification once "StopFinder" is active and available for download.

NCSD acknowledges that parent satisfaction was very high with the “Here Comes the Bus” system. This change is a result of the company’s struggles with support and incomplete back-end tools. The new system is part of TransFinder, which we already use to provide information about zoning and bus stops: StopFinder.

“StopFinder” will roll out for Pahrump during the first quarter of this year. The logistics of transportation are a bit different for our four-day schools, and we are working on an implementation plan for a future release.
